A number of train stations are also located within the suburb, including the famous Camberwell Railway Station. Harp Village is the main shopping area and provides amenities and facilities for residents. Kew East is separated by the Eastern Freeway and has only one tram line. However, the suburb is well connected to Melbourne’s Main Yarra Trail which runs along the north side of the freeway. A number of golf clubs are also a popular addition to Kew East.

Parks and gardens cover approximately 2% of the suburb and it’s a popular area for couples with children. Mont Albert also has a large number of apartments, flats and units.

Balwyn North has its own shopping strip called ‘The Village’ which is home to small fashion boutiques, restaurants and cafes. Residents are generally professionals with children attending one of the many private schools nearby.

The main shopping centre in Surry Hills is along Union Road and is relatively small compared to surrounding suburbs. Two railway stations and tram lines run through Surrey Hills making it a popular suburb for commuters to Melbourne’s CBD. This suburb is home to predominately families, both with and without children, and is in close proximity to many of the surrounding private schools.
