The Brief

A client's elderly mother was suffering from ill health and needed assistance with her portfolio of property assets as she was moving into assisted care.  Her financial planner contacted Synergy, and together they developed a plan and a set of objectives.

The Strategy

Synergy appraised the portfolio and provided a written recommendation of the assets to retain and those to dispose of.  This recommendation included keeping a quality residential and commercial property and disposing of three lesser quality commercial properties.

The Execution

Synergy managed the sale of the 3 commercial properties.  They interviewed two local area specialists for each property, appointed agents, negotiated commissions and advertising rates, and supervised all agents throughout the campaign.  Two of the properties were sold via private sales and one was sold at auction.

The Result

All 3 properties were sold within the timeframe set and for prices that were above client expectations.  This enabled the client to meet the critical timing of bond obligations at her new nursing home.
