Suburbs to watch for Investors - Summer 2011

• St Kilda East and Prahran: 

Thes 2 suburns are performing well, particularly in terms of apartments. If you’re looking to buy in these suburbs make sure the property is away from main roads and located in a neighbourhood with consistent streetscapes. Look for a well maintained apartment in a smaller block to ensure you get maximum land component value, and insist on off street parking.

• Coburg, Preston and Thornbury

These are still my tips for houses. Keep an eye out for north or north-west facing homes with a general period facade in an area with a pleasant streetscape, located no more than 1.5 kilometres from the train
